January 22 - Photoshoot Day! I get hair/make-up treatment from Deata G. of Tres Chic Boutique (Lexington) and then camera time with Jerame Stephens! The theme of the shoot was “Powerful Women!” and I did indeed feel strong and thankful. It was wonderful to meet Deanne & Jennifer and reconnect with Amber!

February 18 – Blessed to spend time in Louisville with Jo Ann at Jr.’s Salon as Jo Ann reminds my hair what color it is!

March 6 – I am not a morning person. I am reminded of this at 4:45 AM today as I leave the house (its dark!) for DanceBlue. Danceblue is a 24 hour dance-a-thon fundraiser for the University of Kentucky Marquee Cancer Center – specifically raising $ for the pediatric oncology unit. DanceBlue started at 5 pm on 3/5 --My fellow Jazzercise instructors and I lead the 5 AM – 6 AM timeslot at Danceblue –- the participants have SO much energy to have already been dancing 12 hours (with 11 hours to go! Teaching Jazzercise to 560+ participants is a RUSH!!! The event raises $600,000+ for UK Pediatric Oncology. I can’t wait to participate again next year ;) I’ll get over not being a morning person.

March 18 – My monthly trip to Louisville for hair with Jo Ann at Jr.’s Salon – thank you!

March 21 – Ready… Set… Go! Today is the 2010 Mrs. Kentucky workshop! The event is held at Miss Priss in the Victorian Square Downtown Shops (Lexington). What a treat to spend time with Queen Mom, Elizabeth C, my Mrs. Kentucky sisters, and the 2010 delegates (that is a lot of beauty in 1 room)! I learn a lot (again) from all the presentations. During the day I also have a radio appearance on Lexington’s Sports Radio Sunday AM show PLUS I shoot the cover of the Mrs. Kentucky 2010 Pageant Program Book.

March 27 – I have been looking forward to tonight’s event for months! The Dream Factory is holding their “Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader” tonight at the Kentucky Center for the Arts in Louisville. I am paired with Kayla and we are the first contestants called to the stage. We aced ALL our ?’s and had a great time working the crowd. Thank you The Dream Factory for having me!

March 28 – Another Early Morning -- Today at the Lexington Half Marathon (10 K)at Fasig Tipton. I am paired with Bark Lee of Uptown Hounds Pet Resort. He and I get the crowd pumped up for the main race event and take in the beautiful bluegrass scenery – all before 8 am!

March 29 – In 2007 I earned my Merchandising, Apparel, and Textiles degree from the University of Kentucky. Tonight the MAT club has asked me to return as a MAT Alumni Model for their annual Spring Fashion Show. I loved wearing a sassy Jovani gown and workin’ it with my MAT girls!
