Tuesday December 8 - Tonight I graduated from Dale Carnegie Training! This entire Human Relations course has been such a blessing in my life. Thank you Dale Carnegie of Kentucky - I will put what I have learned to work everyday ;)
Saturday December 19 - This evening is the Mrs. Kentucky Queens Club Christmas Party! It is wonderful to see Ra'Tonya (2008), Denise (2007), Shawn (2006), Heather (2005), Julie (2004), and Kelly (2003) and their hubbbies with our favorite Queen Mom and Pete ;) Our ornament exchange, christmas caroling, and dinner were spectacular. I feel extremely lucky to be one of our Mrs. Kentucky Queens!

Tuesday June 30 - Its time to tackle the Mrs. America application. This will be a challenge but well worth the effort. Information asked for on the application include: favorite recipe, community involvement information, biography, most admired woman essay, and anecdotal experiences! I'll be working this until further notice...
Wednesday July 1 - Today I will travel to Louisville for my second hair appointment with QM! I appreciate all the time and effort Jo Ann and the team at Jr.'s Salon and Spa take to make my hair its best. I also have a feature pic with information today in The Lexington Herald Leader Newspaper.

Friday July 3 - My evening gown is IN at Miss Priss! WOW - its even more gorgeous than I imagined. Husband Cory, Queen Mum, and Elizabeth at Miss Priss give a thumbs up ;) Together we find a slammin' cocktail dress at Miss Priss to wear at one of cocktail attire events at Mrs. America!
Monday July 6 - My official Mrs. Kentucky thank you notes arrive today ;) I'm inspired to get busy and let all the wonderful Mrs. Kentucky sponsors know how much I appreciate the opportunities they have provided
Tuesday July 7 - 12:30 pm appearance on WLEX 18 TV News (Lexington, KY). I had a fantastic time on air with Dia D. and Lee C. talking about Fitness for the Family Foundation as well as upcoming appearances. In the WLEX green room I had the pleasure of meeting Representatives from Bluebell Ice Cream (they brought new flavors to WLEX!)!
July 10 - I have been looking forward to this event for more than a month! Tonight I attended the Lexington Legends Baseball game and threw out the first pitch! Husband Cory has been working with me to "practice" throwing out the opening pitch with a correctly measured area in our backyard. His serious approach to our pitch drills left me astonished. He was equally dazzled that I could throw the ball "like its on a rope" in 4 inch heels!

Tuesday June 8th - Thursday June 11th Each year all the women in my family make a pilgrimage to Carter Caves, KY for some "girl" time. This year the rain didn't slow us down as we (age 1 - age 77) enjoyed all that this amazing KY State Park has to offer!
Friday June 12th I was honored to participate for the second year at Relay for Life in Paris, Kentucky. I presented cancer survivors with a medal as they were announced at the start of the event. Relay for Life is dear to me as my grandmother was diagnosed (2007) with Lymphoma (stage 4) and is now in remission.

Saturday May 23rd I was crowned and didn't eat dinner until midnight. I was too excited and had too much to say to eat! It was great to meet with Mrs. Kentucky sponsors, family, and friends post pageant.
Sunday May 24th I was up and ready for hair and makeup at 8 am. Luckily the short hair doesn't take long and we could all "sleep in" a bit. Photo shoot wrapped up at 12:30 pm and was an absolute blast with the entire team!
Monday May 25th I was welcomed home and surprised by my Jazzercise Center members with a fully decorated CONGRATULATIONS Jazzercise studio :)
